About me

My name is Lachlan Mahoney. I am 17 and Australian, but for the past several years I have been living in Mongolia after moving from England. I have been to 31 countries and been photographing them for about 4 years. I am a self taught photographer with the dream of one day making it big in the industry. This blog is my way of sharing my world with everyone, and bringing them along on my amazing adventures as well as showing how I progress with my photography. I currently am shooting on a fuji x100s (which is something I absolutely adore), I do also shoot on my Canon 600D with a few different lenses. I hope you guys enjoy my blog, since the I started it almost a year ago the support I've gotten has been amazing. So if you feel like it share it with anyone you want.

Thank you all so much.

Happy Late New Year everybody

Happy New Years everyone

Hey everyone sorry for the last month or so of absolutely nothing new. But there may be still another month of that because January is going to be hectic for me... I have my senior year mocks coming up and I've been preparing all for that. I didn't even have time to do that much photography while I was on holiday that's how much study I've been doing.
After mocks though I have a rather large project coming up with one of my closest friends and that will be something I'll share a little bit of when it starts happening.
Sorry for making everyone wait but I will return with new photos soon.

This photo was one from the New Years eve fireworks display in Sydney. Hope you like.

Getting into the groove

Basketball season has officially started and it is a lot more intense than Volleyball was. We have a new coach and it's during our mocks so I may not post for a month or two but I will return with more photos as I am going on holiday soon. But I have been able to record our basketball games and trainings and I'll try and share as much of the highlights as I can. Here is a cheeky move from me during one of our trainings.

It was a very successful year for our school with the boys winning for the 7th year in a row and the girls ending in a hard worked 2nd place. I just wanted to thank everyone who supported us through out the season. And to next year's team, continue the streak... make it 8 guys.
A huge thank you to my moo moo for taking the awesome guys photos :D

Living in a ger

Just some of the better photos that I took while I was at righteous living this week. It really is amazing to see all of these face, and the stories they have behind it. As well as the fact that some of these people have come from a normal life and now have next to nothing. It really is amazing to see just how happy they are.

A Fall From Grace

Living in Mongolia gives me plenty of opportunities to take some amazing photos of some amazing people. This is a photo of one of the new families at righteous living, they use to be a normal family living and working the the city. The mother was an accountant and the father was and is an extremely gifted musician. Then all of that vanished from their lives because of alcohol. It just goes to show how important an organisation like this can be that they are going to be able to help this family get back on their feet, and move back into the normal life that once had.
